African Parks manages Kafue National Park in partnership with Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife. A non-profit conservation organisation, African Parks takes on responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of protected areas in partnership with governments and local communities. It currently manages 23 national parks and protected areas in 13 countries. The Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) is the overarching regulatory authority that ensures the effective management of protected areas in Zambia.
